In this class we will go over the difference between a DSLR and a Mirrorless camera. What ISO, Aperture, and Shutter speed are and the parts of the exposure triangle. We will learn what all the buttons on your camera do and how to start taking pictures in manual mode.

    What you will need:

Digital camera, at least two batteries, at least a 128gb SC card, any equipment ranging from tripods to a gimble.

This beginning class is a prerequisite to some exciting professional photography classes Charles will be offering in following terms. If you'd like to take any of the following classes, you'll want to make sure and get your spot in this course.

    • Advanced Photography (Winter & Spring Term)
    • Astro Night Photography (Spring Term)
    • Product Photography (Winter & Spring Term)

Charles started TBMmedia in 2017 from a YouTube channel and some GoPro cameras. Since then, we have included full feature wedding ceremonies, free promotions ads for startup local businesses, all the way to making national ads for a multi-million-dollar company to our portfolio.

We are constantly striving to better our customers product exposure and better our skills at mastering our trade using a digital camera. What unlocked our potential was understand how to get the look we wanted by using the manual mode on our camera and haven’t looked back since. Our courses will give you that potential to do everything we do and more.

Calling all moms and kids! You can each choose one of these two Christmas cuties to paint, and enjoy a fun and memorable experience together! Choose the "Christmas Deer" or "Jolly Snowman" (if a younger child will be painting with you, I can outline my sketch on the canvas with a Sharpie pen).

I'm looking forward to this being a fun time to be together and visit while we paint!

Meet the Teachers

Angel Carpenter

Hi! My name is Angel Carpenter, and my focus is sharing the joy of art with the community. I earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Southern Oregon State College (painting and drawing), but my hope is to share fun art, not fine art! My step-by-step lessons are geared toward teaching beginners while also allowing intermediate and advanced artists to join in and take the creative process to whatever level they like, allowing all to enjoy timeout for art with a completed piece to take home.

Kim Randleas

Kim Randleas was born in 1975 in Eastern Oregon. Not being one to shout, her paintings are a soft-spoken tribute to a fleeting moment; a quick glance, an exceptionally interesting cloud formation, or an old house not long for this world. The wide-open spaces, moments of the past, and the nearby Native American tribal culture are common subjects depicted in her paintings.  Kim continues to reside in her home town, Canyon City, Oregon enjoying the beauty and solitude of her home nestled at the base of Canyon Mountain.
