Join us at our free weekly gathering for storytellers this Fall. Writers will be invited to workshop pages, confront one another on each other’s work in a safe and constructive manner as well as discuss the art of storytelling.

The aim of this group will be to build a grass roots effort to showcase the important, talented and unique voices of our community’s very special natural storytelling habitat. Attend and participate as you are able.

This is a free offering and weekly participation is appreciated but not necessary... if you are thinking of joining, please register.

Open to all storytellers and writers of any skill levels over the age of 18.

My name is Cassandra, I am a writer, who just moved back to Grant County. I am here because I would love to connect with other writers and contribute to the creative community in town.

Currently, I am workshopping with Chuck Palahniuk and developing a collection of short stories from a series of pieces I began to present at Chuck and Karen's Open Mic night in Portland. It's been such an incredible experience. Makes me wonder about what it would look like if we did the same in Grant County. We have a lot of good storytellers out here.

Literary Arts is a passion for me that began here in Grant County where I was born and raised. In part thanks to the community, I now hold a BA in English from Colorado State University. I have helped develop many independent books, working with both independent publishers and freelance writers.

Currently, for work, I am employed as Support Team Lead at WEO Media (6 years), a small, full-service dental marketing company. I specialize in website development, leadership and communication, with advanced knowledge in SEO, Social Media, HTML and CSS.

I am looking forward to connecting with anyone who has an interest in hearing or telling good stories.
