This is taking making a “bag” to a whole new level. Let your creativity go wild in this workshop. You will not only learn how to design your own bag, but make a pattern, embellish, work with new textiles, findings and more. Anyone interested in design or pattern making would highly benefit from this fun entry level project. This is a pre-req course (with exception).

Students are asked to bring their own machine if possible and basic sewing supplies. You will be contacted after signing up to discuss supplies needed.

Ages 13 +

Skill Level Beginner

Jodi lee's passion for fashion, theater and the arts began at a very young age. She was highly involved in the theater program during her high school years (both on and off the stage) and found herself constantly designing and altering clothes. Her involvement in the arts and fashion world lead her to a small modeling career where she got the opportunity to live abroad in such cities as Athens, Hong Kong, Milano and more. After a few years of traveling, she settled in Los Angeles where the birth of SandBox Rebel (and her son, Aurthur) took place. SandBox Rebel sprung from the simple need for hip and inspired children's clothing. Being frustrated with what was on the market, Jodi lee rolled-up her sleeves, grabbed a pile of old band shirts and took to the sewing machine. Before she knew it people were buying her wears from her (self-made) diaper bag... then a store wanted an order, then another, then she opened her own store and, viola! Since then, SandBox Rebel has been featured two years in LA's Fashion Week, several magazines such as People and LA Kids, worked with several non-profits and started an internship program sharing the joy of fashion with countless others. She currently resides in John Day, Oregon where she is still up to her crafty ways designing, crafting, and teaching.
