Beginning Photography Class

This is a beginning photography class for all ages and skill levels. Students must bring their own camera and lenses. Also, please have your user manuals available. This is an important tool for all novice photographers.

Class description

Do you have a camera that is collecting more dust than memories? Or, did you receive a camera as a gift, but have difficulties creating the images you want? I hope this class will provide you with the knowledge to pick up your camera with confidence and certainty.

Wednesday 10/9: Meet and greet, camera function familiarization, one-on-one time with instructor, Canyon City photo walk. Thursday 10/10: Review of previous day, discuss exposure triangle, photo walk.

Friday 10/11: Review of previous day, discuss photo editing basics, photo walk.

Cost is $95 for all three sessions.

I am currently a portrait photographer in Grant County, Oregon. I received my education in dark room photography from Prairie City High School, 2005-2007. I studied art and business at Western Oregon University while my photography business started to take shape.

I have been photographing professionally since 2009, but have been working almost exclusively in Grant County since 2013. I finally earned my Bachelors of Science in Liberal Studies with focuses in Anthropology, Sociology, and The Arts from Eastern Oregon University in 2015.
